A great day-trip to the medieval city of Nuremberg.

After arriving at the grand station, most of the day was spent inside the city walls, a highlight is the climb up the hill to Kaiserburg Nurnberg (Nuremberg Castle).  Like Edinburgh and Himeji, Nuremberg is a proper  fortress castle, not just a fancy house called a castle.
